"A picture paints a thousand words" as someone once said, and it's so true, especially a portrait. The years run away with us and before we realise it the kids are all grown up, the person we once were has, lets face it, changed even if just a little, and so often we don't have the photos in between to show that passage of time. For an older member of the family or a relative living far away, a recent family portrait can really be 'the best present'. Studios for most people can be a little scary, venturing into the unknown; I am able to travel to your home or a local beauty spot to take a natural looking, not a stiff posed, selection of photographs for you to share with your loved ones.
